EUobserver joins journalist-owned publisher Denník N
EUobserver, the independent online media covering European Union affairs, on Tuesday announced that it is joining journalist-owned Slovak publishing house Denník N, in a bid to strengthen its long-term sustainability, resilience, and capacity for growth — while fully preserving its editorial independence.
The Slovak journalist-owned media group Denník N is joining the Brussels-based EUobserver, which covers EU affairs. The cooperation marks Denník N’s first major entry into the English-language Western media market, while the portal’s editorial independence remains intact; Denník N employs, among others, Veronika Munk, the former founding editor-in-chief of Telex, who was personally involved in the agreement.
The oldest website specializing in events in Brussels and the European Union, EUobserver.com, has a new publisher. It is Denník N through its new Belgian subsidiary EUO BV. Slovak readers of Denník N will thus gain a much more detailed view of events in the European Union, also through texts taken from EUobserver.
