The EES (Entry/Exit System), although it started working in a gradual implementation mode from October 12, 2025, is in full implementation as of today. This change will affect the economy the most, through carriers due to the 90/180 rule, but also tourists who will have to arm themselves with patience when traveling to European Union (EU) countries.
The new Entry/Exit System (EES), which will come into effect in European Union countries tomorrow, will require biometric registration for non-EU citizens traveling to the Schengen area.
