European Parliament’s top brass get fat pay raises
The salary hikes, which will cost around €324,000 per year, have ruffled some feathers.
The diets of the deputies in Saxony-Anhalt rise annually. There are criticisms, among other things, of the calculation.
The ten highest-ranking officials of the European Parliament, including Secretary-General Alessandro Chiocchetti, will receive significant salary increases. Specifically, they will receive €32,400 more each year than before. Their basic monthly gross salary will increase from €20,536.29 to €23,235.49.
