Greenhouse gas emissions in the European Union economy in the third quarter of 2025 are estimated at 828 million tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent.
According to recent data from Eurostat, the European Union's greenhouse gas emissions increased by 1.1 percent in the third quarter of 2025 compared to the previous quarter. In the same period, GDP increased by 0.4 percent, meaning that emissions and economic growth rates again diverged, Eurostat wrote.
