On Tuesday, MEPs presented their proposals for strengthening the European Union's resistance to foreign interference, and singled out Russia as the main threat.
THE EUROPEAN Parliament is calling for stronger protection against Russian interference and disinformation through the establishment of a new European Centre for Democratic Resilience.
Serbia has become a safe haven for Russian spies and oligarchs who track members of the Russian opposition and find ways to avoid sanctions, and Serbian citizens, allegedly linked to Russia, have been arrested for hate-motivated acts committed in France and Germany, including vandalism of Jewish objects with the aim of inciting ethnic and religious intolerance, according to a report by a Swedish MP from the European People's Party.
