The European Commission, through the EU Civil Protection Mechanism, has helped organise more than 70 flights to repatriate more than 8,000 European citizens from the Middle East due to the war. Two flights organised by the Commission brought another 303 people from the region to Warsaw today, Brussels said.
The European Union has so far coordinated the repatriation of more than 8,000 European citizens who were trapped in the Middle East due to the war launched on 28 February with the military offensive launched by the United States and Israel against Iran, within the framework of a mechanism that Spain has not accepted.
