EU aviation safety agency narrows Gulf airspace warning
The European Union Aviation Safety Agency reduced the scope of its airline warning on Gulf airspace and extended its recommendations on Iran, Iraq and Lebanon until the end of September.
The EU has extended its civil flight warning in the Persian Gulf until September 30, 2026, due to increasing geopolitical risks. While risks persist, risk mitigation measures are required for landings and takeoffs at some airports; flight bans remain in place for the airspace of Iran, Iraq, and Lebanon.
