Better Times Are Dawning for Travelers. European Airports Will Change Rules for Transporting Liquids
Several airports across the European Union are changing their rules for carrying liquids. Thanks to new advanced scanners, passengers will be able to place perfumes, cosmetics and olive oil in containers of up to two liters in their hand luggage instead of the current 100 ml. The scanners are being used in Berlin, Rome, Milan and Amsterdam, for example, but the change in rules must first be approved by the European Commission (EC).
As we had progressed last week, Brussels gave green light to use the new scanners to transport more than 100ml liquids at EU airports. Attention is still being implemented...
The European Commission approved the first configuration of airport scanners allowing passengers to carry larger liquid packages on board, but it is appropriate to inform airports if they are being used.
Billund is the first airport in the country to have equipment that allows you to take more liquids in your hand luggage.
