Several airports across the European Union are changing their rules for carrying liquids. Thanks to new advanced scanners, passengers will be able to place perfumes, cosmetics and olive oil in containers of up to two liters in their hand luggage instead of the current 100 ml. The scanners are being used in Berlin, Rome, Milan and Amsterdam, for example, but the change in rules must first be approved by the European Commission (EC).
