Ethereum commits to letting users pay gas fees without having to hold ETH
The EIP-8141, known as Frame Transactions, was reported as scheduled for the Ethereum Hegotá update, scheduled for 2027, although the proposal is still in draft form and its activation still depends on technical tests and decisions. The design would separate authorization, payment of gas and execution, allowing applications or third parties to cover user commissions that operate with unmaintained stablecoins ETH.
