Estonia is ready to place NATO allies ' nuclear weapons on its territory if necessary, as stated by the Estonian Foreign Minister, Margus Tsakhkna, and quoted by the ERR television and radio company.
Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna (Eesti 200), commenting on President Alar Karis' foreign policy statements, said that foreign policy cannot be seen as an opportunity for academic expressions of opinion. Tsahkna also believed that Estonia could, if necessary, take an ally's nuclear weapon into its territory.
Tsakhkna stated that Estonia, which is bordering the Russian Federation, is not against the placement of nuclear weapons on its territory and there is no doctrine that would prohibit this.
