Destination Set for Lee Corso's Final Appearance on 'College GameDay'
- Lee Corso will make his final College GameDay appearance on August 30, 2025, at Ohio State's home game against Texas in Columbus.
- Corso, who joined ESPN in 1987 and created the mascot headgear tradition starting in 1996 at Ohio State, announced his retirement earlier in 2025.
- Ohio State leads all schools with 67 College GameDay appearances including 26 in Columbus, and Corso has worn Brutus Buckeye headgear 45 times, more than any other team.
- Corso expressed deep gratitude, saying that he and his family feel truly thankful for being involved with ESPN and College GameDay for almost four decades as he reflects on his career.
- Corso’s final broadcast will come during the August 30 game at Ohio Stadium, where Ohio State and Texas face off again following their College Football Playoff semifinal meeting that Ohio State won 28-14, in front of over 100,000 fans.
