ESO's Very Large Telescope Spots Newfound Protoplanet Sculpting Patterns in a Distant Star's Disc

LUPUS CONSTELLATION, JUL 22 – Astronomers observed a protoplanet twice Jupiter's size actively shaping spiral arms in the disk of star HD 135344B, confirming planet formation theories, ESO said.
