ESMA proposes EU move to T+1 settlement by October 2027

The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), the EU financial market regulator and supervisor, recommended migrating in the fourth quarter of 2027 towards a shorter transaction settlement cycle, called T+1, which would allow for greater efficiency and resilience of processes.
