Eskom’s planned maintenance remained below 10% for the fourth consecutive week in the week ending 12 July. It normally cuts back on planned maintenance during the winter and then ramps it up in summer when demand is lower. The low planned maintenance meant that the Energy Availability Factor (EAF) improved from 56.49% in week 17 to 74.1% in week 28.
