- Rapid assessments confirmed structure loss on about 20 properties, with seven buildings reported destroyed last week. Business owner Nicolas Kosovic of the Stagecoach Cafe described "gale-force winds" and thick dust as the fire crested a nearby hill.
- Authorities closed an 8.9-kilometre section of Highway 97 between Clinton Cemetery Road and Mound Road, forcing traffic to detour. Kamloops Search and Rescue members deployed to assist officials with delivering evacuation orders to residents.
- The Village of Clinton was last evacuated in 2017 during the Elephant Hill wildfire, which caused a 17-day evacuation with no structure damage. Meteorologists forecast no significant reprieve, warning that an approaching cold front may bring stronger winds rather than moisture for firefighters.
