Chip Companies Push AEX Index to Significant Gains

The AEX index on the Amsterdam stock exchange closed with substantial gains on Friday. Chip companies closed with significant increases, driven in part by a rise in Nvidia's share price in New York. Chip company Besi climbed 7 percent and ended at the top of the AEX index, followed by ASMI with a rise of 5.5 percent. Chip machine manufacturer ASML gained 3.5 percent.
