Loch Ness Monster hunting camera from ’70s found by ‘Boaty McBoatface’
- An advanced underwater vehicle from the UK’s National Oceanography Centre discovered a camera trap left in Loch Ness 55 years ago by Professor Roy Mackal during a test mission at 180 meters deep.
- The camera, placed in the loch by Professor Roy Mackal in 1970, was still in good condition and the film was developed by an NOC engineer.
- Adrian Shine, from The Loch Ness Project, helped identify the camera, noting it was one of six cameras, three of which were lost in a storm in the same year.
- Nagina Ishaq, manager of The Loch Ness Centre, stated they hope to inspire people about the mysteries hidden in the loch with the camera's display.
