On 8 July 2025, the Senate adopted, at second reading, the bill on national programming and normative simplification in the energy economic sector. Rejected to the National Assembly, it aims to support the energy transition in France. It fills the absence of a five-year energy programming law, which was to be adopted before 1 July 2023, in accordance with the Energy-Climate Act of 2019. This text is transmitted to the National Assembly.
