ENCINO, LOS ANGELES, JUL 21 – Three intruders fled after triggering the advanced security system at Teddi Mellencamp and Edwin Arroyave's home amid a string of break-ins in the Encino area, police said.
- On Monday night, July 21, 2025, Teddi Mellencamp’s Encino home faced an attempted burglary, its advanced security system signaled intruders, TMZ reports.
- Reportedly, at least 13 burglaries occurred this month in the Encino-Sherman Oaks area, and the incident followed a neighborhood safety meeting on Monday night.
- According to the video shared by Teddi Mellencamp on Tuesday, three men in black hoodies jumped over the gate and fence; suspects then fled in a black BMW before police arrived.
- In a joint statement to TMZ, Mellencamp and Arroyave said, 'We are grateful that everyone is unharmed,' and authorities were alerted and swiftly responded.
- Meanwhile, the LAPD plans to increase patrols between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m., as this incident occurred amid Mellencamp’s battle with stage 4 melanoma that has spread to her brain.
