In order to encourage companies to invest in Kaohsiung, promote marine tourism and stimulate the development of the yacht industry, the Kaohsiung City Government has initiated the Kaohsiung Enterprise Investment Reward Marine Recreation Implementation Plan, which encourages employees of companies with bases and significant investment in Kaohsiung to obtain a power boat or yacht driver's license and receive a subsidy of NT$10,000.
