Emma Raducanu Injury Update: Brit Reveals 'Frustrating' Issue Ahead of French Open

Emma Raducanu, a 22-year-old British tennis player, exited the Strasbourg Open after losing to Danielle Collins in a second-round match on Wednesday.
Raducanu’s defeat followed a back injury that caused her to call a medical timeout after falling 5-0 down in the second set against world No. 46 Collins.
Despite winning the first set, Raducanu’s level dropped sharply, and although she returned after treatment and fought hard in the tight third set, Collins won 4-6, 6-1, 6-3.
Raducanu described the back problem as “frustrating” and suffering from intense spasms, stating she first felt it after her opening round, but she was building a better relationship with clay courts.
The injury will be fully assessed before Raducanu travels to Paris for the French Open starting May 25, with the issue causing concern but not yet considered too serious.
