Emergency medicine for opioid overdose is now available in all prisons in the country. Matthildur, a harm reduction organization, Afstaða, an association for prison reform and improvement, and the Icelandic Prison Administration have now begun distributing Naloxone nasal spray in all corridors in Icelandic prisons.
The nasal spray Naloxone will be available in all corridors of Icelandic prisons as of June. Iceland is the first country to distribute the nasal spray to all prisons.
