Due to heavy rains in recent days, the Ecuadorian government declared the emergency road and oil in several provinces, including Zamora Chinchipe, Napo, Morona Santiago and Azuay. As part of the response, the National Emergency Operations Committee (COE) and seven cantonal COE were activated.
A deceased person, 22 victims and four houses completely destroyed is the preliminary balance left by the winter storm in the province of Napo, according to the Secretariat of Risk Management (SGR).
