Magdalena Lobnig missed the successful title defense at the European Championships in the coastal rowing in La Linea de la Concepcion. The 36-year-old was in the final of the Olympic Beach Sprint competition against Spaniard Esther Briz Zamorano on Thursday and had to settle for the silver medal. In the previous rounds, the Olympic third in the heavy one in 2021 had defeated Dutchwoman Isabel van Opzeeland and Lithuanian Raminta Morkunaite.
