Elvis Crespo to Receive Billboard Latin Music Hall of Fame Award
Elvis Crespo is recognized for three decades of influence and global hits, performing at the awards held during Billboard Latin Music Week.
- On Tuesday , Billboard and Telemundo announced Elvis Crespo, merengue star from Puerto Rico, will receive the Billboard Hall of Fame Award and perform Thursday, Oct. 23.
- Crespo is being honored for his three decades in music that include global hits Suavemente and Tu Sonrisa, with Suavemente topping Billboard's Hot Latin Songs chart for six weeks in 1998.
- The Hall of Fame Award recognizes a career beyond music and past recipients include Vicente Fernández, Rocío Dúrcal, Marco Antonio Solís, Joan Sebastian and Marc Anthony; the ceremony will air live at 8 p.m. EDT on Telemundo and stream on Peacock and the Telemundo app.
- Crespo is slated to perform alongside Tono Rosario, Ebenezer Guerra and La Insuperable, while Bad Bunny will be honored as Billboard's Top Latin Artist of the 21st Century.
