ELITE Solar Commissions 5GW Integrated Solar Manufacturing Facility in Egypt, Expanding Global Supply Capacity

On Jan. 24, 2026, ELITE Solar commissioned a 5GW photovoltaic manufacturing facility in Egypt's Suez Canal Economic Zone, with Ain Sokhna anchoring its global growth through localized manufacturing.
Founded in 2005, ELITE Solar has expanded globally with integrated manufacturing facilities in Vietnam, Indonesia and Egypt, and company leaders say this strengthens its global footprint and vertical integration.
The plant includes 2GW of cell and 3GW of module capacity, and on January 24, regional clients and strategic suppliers inspected the N-type solar cell and solar module production lines.
The expansion improves ELITE Solar's regional and global supply response, bolstered by its increased capacity to serve markets across the Middle East, Africa, Europe and North America.
