TAHOE, PLUMAS FORESTS — Two area wildfires that ignited July 11 are nearing 100% containment according to the most recent updates available. As of July 21, the Elephant Fire was mapped at 13,926 acres in Plumas, Sierra, and Lassen Counties and was 92% contained.
