Since 1 September 2026, electronic invoicing has become mandatory for companies subject to VAT. They now have to receive electronic invoices via an approved platform. According to the ECMA-CNOEC/OpinionWay barometer, all the accountants surveyed indicate that almost three-quarters of their businesses were operational upon entry into force.
Electronic invoicing has some advantages, but for the time being it is mainly a burden. This is the case for Patrice Roger, who operates the Saint-Désiré corderie in Lons-le-Saunier.
