Electric car registrations jumped 62.7% in August 2026 in the EU, now accounting for 27.7% of the market. Tesla Model Y takes over the lead in sales, while traditional German brands are declining.
Sales of electric cars have never increased as much with an increase of 63% in deliveries in August 2026 compared to the same period last year, and are now reaching more than a quarter of the market.
