2,606 citizens of the Republic of Moldova have been registered to vote by correspondence to the current parliamentary elections on 28 September. The most numerous, nearly 1,400 citizens, are in the United States of America.

The preliminary registration process, whereby citizens with voting rights are on a decision and have announced their intention to vote in a certain place from abroad at the parliamentary elections on 28 September, ended on 14 August. In this year, 16,149 Moldovans from the diaspora have notified the authorities that they will express their electoral option over the decision.
