Nelson Mandela Bay’s deputy mayor, Gary van Niekerk, said he would reveal the truth about corruption in the metro during his trial next year.

Elections fraud trial adjourned to Nov. 17

The trial into the March 2020 General and Regional Elections has been adjourned until November 17, 2025 when proceedings will continue before Magistrate Faith McGusty at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts. The adjournment follows last week’s proceedings, during which new evidence was presented, previous witnesses were cross-examined, and a void dire was heard.
