The People's Assembly of the UTA Gagauzia has set a new date for the legislative elections in the region - 15 November 2026. However, this decision risks having the fate of the two decisions annulled by the courts following the challenges brought by the representative of the Government in the territory.
The deputies of the People's Assembly of Gagauzia (APG) decided that the regional parliamentary vote would take place on 15 November. The decision was adopted by a majority of votes at the extraordinary meeting on 3 July, immediately after the election of Valentin Gaidarji as president of the APG.
