Elected new bishop in Stavanger The 17 members of the Church Council had three candidates to choose from on Thursday: Tor Magne Nesvik, Karen Margrete Mestad and Vidar Mæland Bakke. The choice ultimately fell on Nesvik, who until now has been the dean of the Ytre-Stavanger deanery and acting dean.
