A Vilnius man was swindled out of 25,000 euros by fraudsters, police said on Saturday. According to them, the man, born in 1938, was swindled out of the money when he was at home when an unknown man called him on the phone, saying that the victim's granddaughter had allegedly been in a traffic accident. The victim gave the money to the stranger who came to his house. A pre-trial investigation into the fraud has been launched.
