- A poll of 1,000 Irish adults found 80 per cent rigidly stick to a set morning regime, highlighting how seriously people take their early habits.
- Holiday Inn Express teamed up with comedian Rob Beckett to launch The Great Wake-up Debate, a campaign inviting people to share opinions on the best way to start the day.
- Research revealed 62 per cent of people check their phone within five minutes of waking up, while 22 per cent spend several minutes sitting on the edge of the bed "processing reality."
- Morning preferences often divide people, with 38 per cent preferring Coffee over tea, while 53 per cent brush their teeth after eating breakfast rather than before.
- John Wright, VP Mainstream Brands at IHG Hotels and Resorts, said the campaign focuses on essentials like comfortable beds and free hot breakfast to help guests wake up refreshed and recharged.
