CPJ, Partners Demand Release of Six Egyptian Investigative Journalists

- During the raids, security forces confiscated mobile phones and personal laptops, while authorities have not disclosed the location or specific charges, prompting Matsadaash to describe the move as an "unprecedented development."
- With 26 journalists now detained in connection with their work, Egypt remains a leading jailer of media professionals, a security crackdown recently expanded to include Discord users and online content creators.
