An employee of a Łódź-based clothing distribution company found animal eggs in one of the packages instead of textiles. The shipment was intercepted by the Customs and Tax Office in Łódź. Experts determined that the eggs contained protected species—caimans and turtles. Smuggling them is punishable by up to five years in prison, among other penalties.
