- The Force Disciplinary Committee established "unequivocally" that ASP Usman violated Force Order 237, concluding his actions were unlawful, unprofessional, and a betrayal of the oath to protect life.
- Officers were transferred from Delta State Command to Force Headquarters in Abuja for disciplinary action after police identified the executed victim as Mene Ogidi, a 28-year-old man.
- Force spokesperson Anthony Okon confirmed the officers will face criminal prosecution for unlawful homicide upon completion of administrative procedures, ensuring accountability for their roles in the shooting.
- Describing the incident as "criminal, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable," IGP Disu forwarded dismissal recommendations to the Police Service Commission, stressing the shooting did not reflect Nigeria Police Force standards.
