The quality of education in Flanders remains under pressure, according to the latest annual report from the education inspectorate.

Almost 1 in 5 Flemish schools receives an unfavorable recommendation from the education inspectorate. The inspectorate identified multiple or serious shortcomings at 18 percent of the schools. In secondary education, this even rises to almost 1 in 4 schools. "The figures are worse than last year," admits Minister of Education Zuhal Demir (N-VA).
