Through a 0.495-cent Pottawatomie County sales tax increase for schools, backed by voters since November of 2015, schools have been collecting funds for 10 years. The first proposition was a temporary tax to be collected for 10 years. In an effort to continue the revenue, it was voted on and passed again in April 2025 -- only this time to be collected indefinitely.
