The proportion of young female descendants with non-Western backgrounds who are pursuing an education has increased significantly in 20 years. Men are not making quite the same leap, but there is also progress here.
73 percent of 25-year-old non-Western descendants have a vocational qualification or are in the process of one. In comparison, this applies to 77 percent of young people of Danish origin. In 2005, the proportion for non-Western descendants was 53 percent.
