EDP Renewables signs virtual power purchase agreement with Microsoft

Microsoft has added 389 megawatts of renewable power to its portfolio through projects developed by EDP Renewables North America, including two in Southern Illinois and one in Texas.
The new renewable power purchase contributes around 2% to Microsoft's nearly 20 gigawatts of renewable energy capacity, as stated in the company's 2024 Sustainability Report.
