Doctors urge speed reduction on Lakeshore Road

TEMISKAMING SHORES - City council is being prescribed an ounce of prevention as the local medical community seeks to have Lakeshore Road's speed reduced from 80 to 50 kilometres per hour (kph) and its passing lanes removed.

Editor, This is regarding the concerns of speed on South Canim Lake and the Mahood Falls area. The speed was set at 80 many years ago! The traffic has now increased in this area and people are travelling way over 80. There is wildlife, logging trucks and campers going to the Mahood Falls area.
