- Speaking at a NATO summit in Ankara, Turkey, President Donald Trump said the strikes are retaliation for Iranian attacks on three commercial ships, accusing Iran of launching drones and missiles at vessels. "They are behaving very badly," Trump said.
- U.S. Central Command reported hitting air-defense systems, radars, and over 60 small boats used by the Revolutionary Guard to "impose heavy costs" for targeting civilian crews. Iranian forces retaliated by launching missiles at sites in Kuwait and Bahrain.
- Trump declared the interim ceasefire "over" and cast doubt on diplomatic negotiations, stating, "They can talk, but I think they're wasting their time," while signaling military action would continue.
