Another Fourth of July holiday has come and passed, and we still have a persistent threat to life and property from illegal fireworks displays, not only in our city but everywhere. I realize that our police, fire and other first responders are restricted by budgetary concerns, and there just aren’t enough of them to handle the illegal fireworks problem.
