On July 28, the ED raided thirty-one locations in Dhanbad in connection with cases of illegal coal mining, smuggling, and extortion against Anil Goyal, LB Singh, Harendra Chauhan, and others. The raids froze LB Singh's mutual fund investments worth ₹160 crore and seized ₹1.02 crore in cash. Information about more than 200 properties was also obtained. Raids were also conducted in November 2025 in connection with the same case.
