President Daniel Noboa signed Executive Decree No. 128 identifying Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard of Iran as terrorist organized crime groups.
By Executive Decree 128, President Daniel Noboa included three international groups on the terrorism list, instructing the National Intelligence Center to investigate their influence on the country and coordinate with foreign agencies if necessary.
President Noboa has classified various foreign criminal organizations as terrorists within the framework of the "internal armed conflict".
Noboa, who highlights the fact that the United States has already taken similar measures, urges the intelligence services to evaluate the "incidence" of these three organizations in the "organized armed groups" that are active in Ecuador, according to the newspaper 'Primicias'.
