Both factions have claimed to represent the "real" Trinamool Congress and have approached the EC seeking recognition as the legitimate leadership of the party.
The Election Commission of India has summoned both factions of the divided Trinamool Congress to Delhi on September 12. A final decision will be made between the pro-Mamata Banerjee and pro-Ritabrata Banerjee camps regarding the "two flowers" election symbol.
