- On Sunday, West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari blamed former Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for the deletion of 27 lakh names from the State's electoral rolls during the Special Intensive Revision, asserting that neither the BJP nor the Election Commission was responsible.
- Adhikari claimed these deletions were carried out by judicial officers following Supreme Court directions in a case filed by Banerjee herself, accusing her of attempting to shift blame after losing Assembly elections.
- Citing a joint statement from Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and Election Commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi, Adhikari maintained that the decision regarding the Special Intensive Revision was taken unanimously.
- Adhikari further attacked Banerjee for hypocrisy, alleging that while her party opposes the revision in West Bengal, it considers similar exercises "good" when Congress wins in Kerala despite the TMC ousting the CPI-M.
- Pointing to incidents of political violence from Netai and Saibari to Nandigram, Adhikari reminded voters that the TMC originally came to power by protesting against the CPI-M, yet now the two parties are "now speaking in one voice.
