The small town of Pointe a la hache, Louisiana, proudly serving as the parish seat, came alive on Sunday February 15, 2026 as residents and visitors gathered to celebrate Plaquemines Parish’s annual Mardi Gras Festival in true Louisiana style. Many citizens throughout the parish and surrounding communities traveled down the road to the Eastbank of Plaquemines Parish for a family-oriented festival.
